Hercules Duvenage

Hercules Duvenage has a diverse range of work experience in the field of human resources. Hercules began their career as a Deputy Director at the Ministry of Health/National Department of Health in 1993 before moving on to become a Human Resources Manager at Afrox Healthcare from 1997 to 2005. From 2004 to 2006, they served as the National Human Resources Manager at Mediclinic Corporation/ER24, where they were responsible for the entire HR function. Hercules then worked as a Human Resources Consultant as a sole proprietor, managing a guest house and restaurant from 2007 to 2010. In 2009, they became a Senior Human Resources Manager at Mediclinic, focusing on policy formulation, talent acquisition, and learning and development. From 2011 to 2012, they were a Human Resources Business Partner at Brandhouse Beverages (Pty) Ltd, where they worked on resourcing, talent development, and organizational effectiveness. Hercules returned to Brandhouse Beverages (Pty) Ltd in 2012 as a Senior HR Project Analyst and later took on the role of Senior HR Advisor and Resourcing Manager. In 2017, they joined Diageo SA as an HR Business Partner and Learning & Development Lead for the supply department. Hercules then transitioned to Diageo as an HRBP for Commercial & Marketing and later served as the Talent Development Manager, where they focused on designing and implementing talent development programs and measuring their effectiveness. Most recently, they worked at Danone Southern Africa as the Head of Transformation, Talent & Learning and is currently serving as the Human Resources Director.

Hercules Duvenage holds a Certificate in Project Management from the University of Pretoria, which they obtained in 2017. Hercules also has a Diploma, Higher Diploma, and Master's degree in Human Resources Management and Services from the Tshwane University of Technology, which they completed between 1986 and 1994. In addition, they obtained a Master's degree in Human Resources Development from the same university during the period of 1992 to 1994. Hercules has a Certificate in Labour Law from the Johannesburg Chamber of Commerce, obtained in 2004. Hercules also holds a Certificate in Coaching in Organizational Leadership from the Gordons Institute for Business Science, obtained in 2016-2017. Additionally, they have a certification in Job Grading from HAY, but the specific time of obtaining is not provided.
