Irene de la Torre Giménez is the Global Circular Economy Director for Packaging at Danone, with extensive experience in procurement and sustainability within the food and beverage industry since April 2006. Irene manages a team of buyers and oversees a significant spend on packaging and raw materials for Danone Iberia, demonstrating expertise in sustainable sourcing, circular packaging, and achieving carbon neutrality goals. Irene has held various leadership positions, including Head of Procurement & Sustainability for the Waters division and Head of Procurement for direct and indirect spend. Additionally, Irene contributes as a collaborator professor at IQS Executive Education, specializing in sustainability in procurement. Irene's educational background includes advanced studies in executive management, circular economy, category management, and international economics from prestigious institutions.
