Ask Løvbjerg Abildgaard

President at Danish Society for the Blind

Ask Løvbjerg Abildgaard is the current President at Danish Society for the Blind. Ask has held this position since January 2008. Prior to that, they were a Policy Officer at European Disability Forum from February 2006 to December 2006. Ask then became an Academic assistant at Disabled People's Organisations Denmark from January 2007 to December 2008. After that, they worked at Danish Association of the Blind. In January 2012, they began working as an Adjunct Lecturer at University of Dublin, Trinity College and held that position until January 2013. Ask returned to European Disability Forum in January 2008 and has been there since.

Ask Løvbjerg Abildgaard studied political science at the University of Copenhagen, before completing an M.Sc. in disability studies at the University of Dublin, Trinity College. Ask also has a B.A. in philosophy from the University of Copenhagen, and has studied ethics and political philosophy at the University of Lund. Ask Løvbjerg Abildgaard attended Krogerup Højskole, and Nørre Gymnasium, a general upper secondary school.
