Karsten Lauritzen

Karsten Lauritzen is an experienced political figure and business leader, currently serving as Branchedirektør at DI - Dansk Industri since January 2022. Prior to this role, Lauritzen held several prominent positions including Gruppeformand and Forsvarsordfører with Venstre, Danmarks Liberale Parti from August 2019 to January 2022, and was a Member of Folketinget from 2007 until January 2022. Lauritzen also served as Skatteminister at Skatteministeriet from June 2015 to June 2019. Early in their political career, Lauritzen was involved with Venstres Ungdom, first as Formand from July 2003 to July 2007, and later served as Næstformand and Member of LYMEC asbl from 2000 to 2007. Additionally, Lauritzen contributed as a DUF-frivillig at DUF – Dansk Ungdoms Fællesråd between 2004 and 2006. Academically, Lauritzen earned a Bachelor's Degree in Politics and Administration from Aalborg University between 2006 and 2014.
