Karsten Breum

Karsten Breum is the Chief People Officer at Danske Bank. Karsten previously served as the Chief Human Resources Officer at Panalpina from November 2014 to January 2020. Karsten was based in Basel, Switzerland during their time at Panalpina. Prior to their time at Panalpina, Breum served as the Head of Human Resources at Safmarine Container Lines from January 2003 to December 2005 and as the CEO Asia Pacific at Damco from October 2005 to June 2014. Karsten was also part of the Global Executive Leadership Team during their time at Damco. Before their time at Damco, Breum served as the General Manager of Human Resources at Maersk Group from July 1998 to October 2003.

Karsten Breum completed an Executive MBA at The University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a Master (MSc) in Strategy & General Management from Aarhus University.
