Kun Zhu

Kun Zhu is a Senior Quantitative Analyst at Danske Commodities, specializing in long-term power price forecasting and the development of a power market model for a transition to renewable energy sources. Prior to this role, Kun Zhu worked as a PhD Fellow at Aarhus University, focusing on the modeling of sector coupling in large-scale renewable energy networks, with an emphasis on the European energy system's transition to carbon neutrality. Additionally, Kun Zhu spent time as a Visiting Researcher at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, developing models to quantify the benefits of ambitious short-term energy targets. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Sustainable Energy Systems from Aarhus University, a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Engineering College of Aarhus, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Thermal Science and Energy Engineering from the University of Science and Technology of China.
