George Rorie

George Rorie currently serves as Chief Data Officer for Upstream/Integrated Gas/Projects & Technology at Shell, a position held since November 2020, and previously held the role of Chief Data Officer for Subsurface & Wells. Prior to this, George Rorie worked at Shell Development Australia as IT Manager from May 2018 to October 2020, where responsibilities included leading the IM/IT community in support of Integrated Gas businesses. George Rorie's earlier career at Shell U.K. Exploration and Production spanned from February 1990 to April 2018, during which various leadership roles were undertaken, including Regional Deployment and Support Manager and Head of Subsurface Data Management. Additionally, George Rorie was a board member at Common Data Access Ltd from January 2011 to April 2018 and has a background in various IT roles. Education was obtained at the University of Strathclyde.
