Mike Zentz

Mike Zentz has a diverse work experience that spans various industries and roles. Mike started their career as a Sound & Light Engineer and Projectionist at the Doris Duke Theatre in 2012. After that, they worked as a Retail Sales Consultant and later became a Retail Sales Supervisor at Best Buy from 2013 to 2015.

In 2015, Mike joined Tesla, where they held multiple roles including Field Energy Specialist, Field Energy Consultant, and Regional Channel Manager until 2018. Mike then worked as a Community Engagement Director at Mars Initiative from 2019 to 2020, focusing on community outreach and involvement.

In the same year, Mike also served as a Treasurer at Trinity Lutheran Church and School, managing financial operations. Mike later became a Software Engineer at 10net Focus in 2019, where they developed software integrations and troubleshooted existing systems until 2021.

In 2021, Mike joined VoiceFoundry as a Senior Software Engineer and contributed until their role ended in February 2023. Mike also served as a Tax Appeal Boardmember for Sanders County Government starting in December 2021.

Currently, Mike is working as a Principal Software Engineer at Dante Consulting, Inc. starting from February 2023. Throughout their career, Mike has gained experience in software engineering, project management, sales, and community engagement.

Mike Zentz has a diverse education history that includes full stack development, computer science, and language studies. In 2018, they attended PDX Code Guild for full stack development and also completed the IT Ready program to obtain their CompTIA A+ certification. In 2011, they began studying computer science at Hawaii Pacific University, where they remained until 2015. Prior to that, in 2006-2007, Mike completed a certificate of completion in Indonesian/Malay languages and literatures at the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center. Additionally, they obtained various certifications including AWS Concepts from Linux Academy in December 2019, CompTIA A+ from CompTIA in November 2018, and an advanced Javascript certification from PDX Code Guild.
