Hermes Abrantes

Hermes Abrantes has a comprehensive work experience spanning over several industries and roles. Hermes began their career as an IT Project Manager at the Centers for Disease Control in 1989. From there, they moved on to the Inter American Development Bank as a Project Manager in 1990. In 1991, they joined Keane as a Principal, where they successfully managed projects for Delta Air Lines and played a crucial role in implementing a new crew scheduling system.

In 1996, Abrantes took on the role of Envoy to the Brazilian Delegation at the International Olympic Committee, where they demonstrated exceptional leadership skills in managing a large delegation during the Centennial Olympic Games in Atlanta. From 1997 to 1998, they worked at Ernst & Young as a Senior Manager, overseeing the Year 2000 compliance efforts of Coca-Cola's Japanese division and its 17 independent bottlers.

Abrantes then joined Accenture in 1998 and served in various roles, including Senior Manager of the CRM and eCommerce Practice and Director of Identity Management, Border Management, and Biometrics. In these positions, they contributed to the development of the USPS web presence and led the implementation of a CRM system for the USPS Sales and Customer Service force. Hermes also played a pivotal role in generating significant revenue by securing contracts for the World Cup and Olympic preparations in Brazil.

Most recently, Abrantes has been working at Daon since 2011 as the Vice-President of Solutions for Homeland Security and Federal Civilian Agencies.

Hermes Abrantes has a diverse educational background. Hermes started their education by obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from Universidade Estadual de Campinas in 1988. In the following year, they were awarded the GRSP - Georgia Rotary Student Program Scholarship, during which they studied Computer Science and International Studies.

In 1989, Hermes pursued further education at the University of West Georgia, where they completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. After a gap in formal education, they resumed their studies in 2010. In that year, they attended the FEAC Institute, obtaining a certification in Enterprise Architecture. Hermes also earned a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the PMI Project Management Institute.

In 2011, Hermes briefly studied Biometrics and Identity Management at IEEE, earning a Certified Biometrics Professional (CBP) designation. Lastly, Hermes pursued a Master of Science degree in Cybersecurity at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, where they completed their studies at an unknown date.
