Chief Protocol Architect Of The Flow Blockchain at Dapper Labs

Alexander Hentschel has a diverse work experience that spans over several roles and companies. Alexander is currently the Chief Protocol Architect at Flow Blockchain since June 2022. Prior to that, they held various positions at Dapper Labs, starting as a Blockchain Consensus Architect in November 2018 and later becoming the Chief Protocol Architect of the Flow Blockchain in July 2020. Alexander also worked as a Lead Blockchain Architect from September 2019 to July 2020. Before joining Dapper Labs, Alexander worked as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Axiom Zen from October 2017 to February 2020, where they contributed to the development of innovative software products. Alexander also worked as a Research Scientist for Machine Learning at Siemens AG from September 2011 to May 2017, where they focused on research and development of data-scientific solutions with a specialization in machine learning for self-learning control and diagnostic algorithms. Alexander Hentschel started their career by pursuing a PhD at the University of Calgary from August 2007 to April 2011.

Alexander Hentschel started their education in 2001 at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, where they pursued a diploma in Computer Science. Alexander completed this degree in 2010. During their time at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, Alexander also pursued a diploma in Theoretical and Mathematical Physics, which they completed in 2007.

After completing their degrees at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, Alexander went on to pursue a PhD in Physics and Quantum Computing at the University of Calgary. Alexander enrolled in 2007 and completed their doctoral studies in 2011.

In addition to their formal education, Alexander Hentschel obtained a certification as an R&D Project Manager from Siemens in March 2014.
