Ken Barnes

Ken Barnes has a diverse work experience spanning across various industries. Ken is currently serving as the Director of Engineering for DAPR Engineering, LLC's Lone Star division since October 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Substitute Teacher for Sarasota County Schools from September 2022 to October 2022.

In August 2022, Ken held a role as an Innovation Consultant, and before that, they served as the Director of Engineering at Inline Filling Systems from September 2021 to August 2022.

Before finding their current opportunities, Ken spent a year from September 2020 to September 2021 searching for the right opportunity.

Ken's longest tenure was at National Oilwell Varco, where they worked for over 15 years. Ken'sroles at the company included being the Controls & Automation Director | Engineering Manager from March 2014 to September 2020. During their time there, they successfully led a team and implemented Lean manufacturing and Total Quality Management (TQM) SOPs. Prior to this, Ken worked as a Control Systems Engineer from October 2009 to March 2014, where they developed automated control systems for various equipment. Ken also worked as a Software Designer and Electrical Drafter at National Oilwell Varco, where they developed software and electrical schematics for different product lines, including coiled tubing and nitrogen systems.

Ken's earliest work experience was as a Process Technician and Plant Maintenance at Ring Container Technologies from September 2001 to December 2005. Ken focused on implementing TQM and Lean processes to improve production cycles and reduce downtime. Ken was also responsible for maintaining and programming various equipment and tracking systems.

Prior to their career in the private sector, Ken served in the US Navy as an Electrician's Mate 2nd Class from March 1988 to April 1999.

Ken Barnes has a Doctor of Management in Organizational Leadership with a specialization in Information Systems & Technology from the University of Phoenix, which they attained by the year 2022. Ken also holds a Master's degree in Information Systems from the same university, completed by the year 2012. Furthermore, they earned a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology with a focus on Software Engineering from the University of Phoenix in 2010. In addition, Ken has an AAS in Application and Web Development from Tarrant County College.

In terms of certifications, Ken obtained a cGMP for Microbiology and Contamination Control Professional Certification from Biopharma Institute in 2020. Ken also received a cGMP - Current Good Manufacturing Practice Professional Certification from the same institute, and a PMP Certification in Project Management from SimpliLearn, all within the year 2020. Furthermore, they have a Certificate of Completion in Sales Leadership Program from NOV Purdue.

Ken Barnes has also acquired several additional certifications which include the ClickUp Novice Certificate from ClickUp, received in November 2022.
