Ahmed Kamal

Ahmed Kamal has a diverse work experience across multiple industries. Ahmed started their finance career at Bank Islami Pakistan Limited as a Credit Risk Analyst, where they analyzed credit data and conducted due diligence for corporate and SME customers. Ahmed then worked at the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority as an ACCA Trainee, where they processed payment vouchers and ensured compliance with budget allocations. Ahmed then joined Engro Polymer & Chemicals Ltd as an Assistant Accounts Officer, where they managed vendor payments, tax deductions, and income tax withholding statements. After that, they worked at Gul Ahmed Textile Mills Limited as a Senior Finance Executive, overseeing accounts receivable, segment reporting, and allocation of expenses. Following this, they joined foodpanda as an Assistant Manager Finance, where they handled restaurant liabilities and vendor management. Currently, Ahmed is working at Daraz, first as a Manager Commercial Finance, responsible for marketplace operations, and then as the Head of Prepayments & Refunds, overseeing Fintech operations, fraud management, and cybercrime mitigation. Ahmed Kamal completed their Bsc (Hons) in Applied Accounting from Oxford Brookes University, starting in 2011 and finishing in 2014. Following this, they pursued further education with ACCA, earning the certification of a certified chartered accountant by 2016.
