Benazir Azeem

Benazir Azeem has a diverse and extensive work experience in the legal field. From 2020 to present, they have served as the Regional Head Of Legal for Daraz Group and also held the position of Head Of Legal at Daraz. Prior to their roles at Daraz, they worked as a Legal Counsel at Habib Bank Limited from 2014 to 2020, where they were responsible for drafting and vetting various legal instruments, conducting legal research, and analyzing legal propositions. Before that, Azeem worked as an Associate at RIAA BARKER GILLETTE, focusing on drafting legal pleadings, preparing reports for mergers and acquisitions, and drafting agreements for clients in the power sector. Benazir also has experience as an Associate at Mohsin Tayebaly & Co., Malik, Chaudhry, Ahmed, Siddiqi & Wahid, and Abraham & Sarwana, Advocates & Solicitors, where they handled various legal responsibilities such as drafting legal pleadings, conducting research, and handling client correspondence. Azeem began their legal career as a Summer Associate/Assistant at Maynard, Truland & Ware, LLC, and gained further experience as a Legal Intern and Assistant at The Office of Richard L. Cohn, Esq. Benazir Azeem pursued their education chronologically starting from their high school years at Piscataway High School. In 1998, they successfully obtained their High School Diploma from this institution. Following their completion of high school, they enrolled at Rutgers University and studied Economics. Benazir completed their Bachelor of Arts degree from Rutgers University in 2004. Later, they proceeded to pursue their Juris Doctor degree at Seton Hall University School of Law and graduated in 2007.
