Shamim Ahmed Sumon

Shamim Ahmed Sumon has a diverse work experience in various industries. Shamim started their career at Grameenphone Ltd in 2014 as a Customer Services Specialist, where they excelled in managing upset customers, delivering outstanding service, and working in teams.

In 2016, they joined Snowtex Group as an Assistant Merchandiser, handling tasks related to component management, including calculating fabric consumption and booking, making projections, and managing commercial tasks. Shamim then progressed to the role of Merchandiser, where they focused on order management, ensuring customer and buyer demand fulfillment, maintaining order databases, and coordinating with production teams. As a Senior Merchandiser, they worked on supply chain management, collaborating with component and planning teams, ensuring smooth production line planning, and maintaining component and trims databases.

In 2018, Shamim joined SaRa Lifestyle Ltd as a Team Manager, E-commerce Operation. In this role, they were responsible for planning and forecasting marketing strategies, sales planning, and inventory management. Shamim also worked closely with 3PL and in-house logistics teams for delivery operations.

Currently, Shamim is working at Daraz as a Strategy & Growth Manager, where they showcase their passion for shaping and elevating fashion categories for leading e-commerce platforms. Shamim excels in strategic planning, trend analysis, and consumer insights, and is skilled at curating captivating fashion assortments that drive growth and maximize profitability.

Shamim Ahmed Sumon's education history begins with their completion of a Secondary School Certificate (SSC) in Business Studies from Motijheel Model High School & College in the years 2001-2007. Shamim then pursued a Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) in Business Studies from Dhaka City College from 2008-2009.

Moving on to higher education, Shamim attained a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration (BBA) with a focus on Accounting & Finance from American International University-Bangladesh from 2011-2014. Shamim later went on to complete their Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in Finance from the same institution between the years 2014-2016.
