Wasantha Perera

Wasantha Perera has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Their most recent position was as a Security Operations Manager at Daraz since June 2023. Prior to that, they served as a Security Coordinator and Security Supervisor at Daraz from May 2019 to June 2023. Before joining Daraz, they worked as a Training adviser – security at Sri Lanka Ports Authority from May 2018 to December 2018. From January 2017 to March 2018, they were a University Sergeant Major at General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University. Additionally, they served in the Sri Lanka Army - Special Forces as a Warrant Officer Class I from March 1996 to March 2018. wasantha also had a brief tenure as a Sergeant in the United Nations from July 2011 to February 2012.

Wasantha Perera's education history is as follows:

From 2017 to 2017, they attended Rajarata University of Sri Lanka and completed a Certificate Course in Management conducted by the Management Studies Centre.

In 2014, they obtained a Diploma in ceremonial studies from Itc Catterick, Infantry Training Centre in Catterick, UK.

Between 2003 and 2004, they attended Sri Lanka Army Headquarters and completed a Tamil language training course, focusing on Tamil language and training.

From 1983 to 1994, they attended Darmaraja Maha Vidyalaya Piliyanadala and obtained their G.C.E O/L qualification.

In addition to their formal education, Wasantha Perera has obtained several certifications. In 2023, they completed a Certificate Programme in Occupational Safety and Health from The Employers' Federation of Ceylon. In 2022, they completed the Success Communication and Success Leadership series from Toastmasters International, obtained a Fire Protection Personnel/Firefighter certification from the Firefighting Rescue and Emergency First Aid Training Institute, and obtained a First Aid certification from St. John Ambulance of Srilanka. In 2021, they obtained a TPS (Toyota Production System) certificate for Grade 4 from the TMS&TPS Certificate Institution in Japan. In 2013, they completed a Certificate Course in Management from the Sri Lanka Air Forces Academy. Lastly, in 2001, they obtained a Diploma in Man Pack Radio from Harris Corporation.
