Jorge Valdez

Jorge Valdez serves as the Director of Information Technology at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) since September 2020, overseeing multiple roles including Chief Operations Manager. Prior to this position, Jorge held the role of Program Manager for DARPA Classified Network Services Support at General Dynamics Mission Systems from January to September 2020, and served as Deputy Program Manager for DARPA in September 2019. Jorge's extensive experience also includes management positions at RAND Corporation from June 2015 to September 2019, focusing on corporate classified programs and security administration. Jorge's career began in the Marine Corps, where from September 1992 to June 2015, positions included Information Systems Security Manager and Information Technology Specialist. Educational achievements include a Master’s degree from Georgetown University and multiple Bachelor’s degrees in Technical Management and Management Information Systems from DeVry University and Wayland Baptist University, respectively.
