Ron Aung currently serves as the Space Force Operational Liaison and Special Assistant to the Director at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) since November 2022, and as an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the U.S. Air Force Institute of Technology since August 2021. Prior roles include Technical Director of the Experiments and Initiatives Division at the United States Space Force and service as a Service Chief Fellow at DARPA. A significant tenure with the United States Air Force, from 2007 to 2021, included multiple technical and leadership positions such as Technical Director, Program Manager for High Performance Computing, and Flight Commander. Academically, Ron Aung is pursuing an MBA at The Wharton School and holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the U.S. Air Force Institute of Technology, along with additional master's degrees in Electrical Engineering and Industrial Engineering and a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley.
