Estevan Garcia

Estevan Garcia serves as the Chief Health and Wellness Officer at Dartmouth College since March 2024. Prior to this role, Estevan held various leadership positions, including Chief Medical Officer at the Massachusetts Department of Public Health from February 2022 to March 2024 and Medical Director at Mass General Brigham from February 2021 to March 2024. Estevan also served as Chief Medical Officer at Cooley Dickinson Health Care Corporation from August 2017 to February 2022 and Vice President and Medical Director of Risk Management at HIC/FOJP from July 2016 to July 2017. Earlier experience includes serving as Senior Vice President, Chief Medical Officer, and Designated Institutional Official at Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center from August 2012 to July 2016. Estevan holds a Doctor of Public Health degree from the CUNY Graduate School of Public Health and Health Policy, a Master of Public Administration from NYU Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service, a Doctor of Medicine from The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Austin College.
