Mohammad Javad Shafiee

Mohammad Javad Shafiee has a diverse work experience in the field of research and development. Mohammad Javad began their career as a Research Associate at Shiraz University, where they designed and implemented intelligent computer vision systems and led various projects in traffic monitoring. Mohammad Javad also trained and led a team in the computer vision and pattern recognition laboratory.

Following this, they worked as a Research and Development Intern at Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada, Aimetis Corp., and Hill-Rom, gaining experience in different industries.

In 2013, Shafiee joined the University of Waterloo as a Graduate Research Assistant and continued their research work until 2017 when they became a Research Assistant Professor. Mohammad Javad'srole at the university involved conducting research and supporting academic activities.

In the same year, they co-founded DarwinAI and took on the position of Co-Founder and Vice President of Research. Mohammad Javad has been instrumental in leading research efforts at the company.
