Gaurav K. has a wealth of experience in the security field. Gaurav began their career in 2004 as a Senior Security Engineer at Honeywell Technology Solutions, where they developed in-house software tools and performed black-box security assessments. In 2006, they joined Microsoft as a Security Consultant, where they developed threat models, conducted security code reviews, and formulated security best practices and processes. In 2010, Gaurav K. moved to Credit Suisse as a Security Consultant, where they engineered a security monitoring platform. Gaurav then joined Pivotal Security as a Chief Security Consultant in the same year. In 2012, Gaurav K. returned to CipherCloud as a Consultant. In 2013, they co-founded CloudUP Networks, Inc. and served as CTO until the company was acquired by CipherCloud in 2014. Gaurav K. then joined RedLock as Founder and CTO until the company was acquired by Palo Alto Networks in 2018. Gaurav then served as Chief Architect, Public Cloud Security for Palo Alto Networks until 2020, when they founded Dassana. Dassana fixes alert fatigue by prioritizing alerts using context and is 100% open-source, serverless, and takes less than 2 minutes to deploy.
Gaurav K. graduated from the University of California, Berkeley in 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. Gaurav then attended the University of California, Davis where they earned a Master of Science in Applied Economics in 2013. Gaurav K. graduated from the University of California, Berkeley in 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and then went on to receive a Master of Science in Applied Economics from the University of California, Davis in 2013.
