Damiano Casalino is a highly experienced professional in the field of aeroacoustics and fluid dynamics, currently serving as Application Manager and Software Engineering Director at Dassault Systèmes since January 2019, while also holding roles as Technical Sales Director and Director for SIMULIA A&D Experience Management. With a strong background in aerospace applications management at Exa Corporation since November 2011, Damiano has focused on the industrial application of the Lattice Boltzmann Method for noise prediction in airframes and engines, and has recently expanded expertise to rotorcraft and eVTOL aerodynamics. Additionally, Damiano is a Professor and Chair of Aeroacoustics at Delft University of Technology and has held various research positions, including at CIRA and Fluorem SAS, where significant contributions to turbomachinery applications and broadband noise prediction were made. Damiano holds dual PhDs in Aeroacoustics and Fluid Dynamics from Centrale Lyon and Politecnico di Torino, complemented by a Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering.
