Gian Paolo Bassi

Gian Paolo Bassi is a seasoned executive in the engineering and technology sectors, currently serving as Senior Vice President of 3DEXPERIENCE Works and Customer Role Experience at Dassault Systèmes, alongside the role of CEO of SOLIDWORKS. Bassi's extensive experience includes key positions such as Vice President of R&D at SOLIDWORKS and founder and CTO of RIWEBB, where responsibilities included developing technologies for the Mechanical and Architectural Design Automation industry. Prior roles include Vice President and CTO at ImpactXoft, where Bassi oversaw R&D of notable Functional Modeling and Collaboration technologies, and Program Manager at Computervision, managing the development environment for the Advanced Technology Center. Bassi started their career as a Tech Leader at Italcad Tecnologie e Sistemi Spa, leading the development of a parametric solid modeler used for significant projects at CERN. Bassi holds a Laurea in Mechanical Engineering, summa cum laude, from Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna.
