Alessio Melani

Alessio Melani has been working in the tech industry since 2011. Alessio began as a Freelance Software Developer at Laboratori Victoria s.r.l. in 2011. In 2016, they joined Engineering Ingegneria Informatica Spa as a Solution Developer. In 2018, they joined The Data Appeal Company as Head of Engineering and Software Engineer. As Head of Engineering, they led the developer team's tech operations, supervised taking part in each software technical decision from architectural analysis to product feature development, and worked to reach and maintain high software quality standards and make data processing at scale easier. As a Software Engineer, they designed and developed a big data infrastructure ingestion flow based on AWS SQS, AWS Kinesis Firehose, PostgreSQL, AWS Redshift and AWS S3, and designed and developed microservices and RESTful APIs based on Spring boot (JAVA) and GoLang. Alessio also designed RESTful APIs on a datalake fed from different sources.

Alessio Melani attended the Istituto Tecnico Industriale Statale Silvano Fedi Pistoia from 2004 to 2009, where they obtained a Diploma di Perito Industriale Capotecnico in Informatica. Alessio then attended Università degli Studi di Firenze from 2010 to 2013, where they obtained a Laurea triennale in Ingegneria informatica. Alessio continued their studies at Università degli Studi di Firenze from 2013 to 2015, where they obtained a Laurea Magistrale LM in Ingegneria informatica. In 2017, they obtained an Oracle Certified Associate, Java SE 8 Programmer certification from Oracle.
