Dharani Dhar Burra

Dharani Dhar Burra is a scientist at CIAT since July 2022, focusing on developing data-driven tools for enhancing sustainability in agriculture and food systems. In addition, Dharani serves as a resource person for Data-Pop Alliance since June 2017. Previous experience includes the role of Principal Data Scientist at Yara International from December 2020 to July 2022 and Data Scientist for Agriculture and Food Systems at Pulse Lab Jakarta from January 2020 to December 2020, where combinatorial analytics of alternative data and remote sensing were utilized to monitor agri-food systems. Additional positions held include Data and Digital Agri-Food Systems Scientist at CGIAR Platform for Big Data in Agriculture from June 2016 to December 2019, and Research Associate (PhD) in Omics and precision agriculture at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences from June 2011 to February 2016.
