Mateja Verlic Bruncic

Mateja Verlic Bruncic has a long and varied work experience. In 2021, they were the Director of Product and Director of Engineering at Databox. From 2019 to 2021, they were the Director of Software Development at GenePlanet. From 2016 to 2018, they were the COO and Project Manager at EqualEyes Solutions Ltd. In 2018, they were an Ambassador for Europe Code Week. From 2014 to 2016, they were the Project Manager at Kendu d.o.o. From 2011 to 2014, they were the Product Manager and Head of Research at Zemanta. From 2009 to 2010, they were an Assistant Professor and Researcher at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, University of Maribor. In 2010, they were a Visiting Researcher at Universitetet i Bergen. From 2009 to 2010, they were a Researcher at the Centre for Interdisciplinary and Multidisciplinary Research and Studies. From 2004 to 2009, they were a Researcher at UM FERI.

Mateja Verlic Bruncic's education history includes a PhD from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Maribor from 2004 to 2009, where their field of study was text mining and sentiment analysis. Mateja earned a B.Sc. in Computer Science from the same institution between 1998 and 2004. Prior to that, they obtained an International Baccalaureate (IB) from II. Gimnazija Maribor between 1994 and 1998. Additionally, they have obtained numerous certifications from Coursera in topics such as Positive Psychology, Psychology at Work, and Design and Make Infographics.
