Jim Fanning

Jim Fanning currently serves as the VP of Sales at Databricks since December 2023. Prior to this role, Fanning held various positions at Amazon Web Services (AWS) from May 2011 to December 2023, including Director of North America Global Financial Services, where leadership was provided for the sales organization in the Americas. Fanning also managed the strategy and sales for AWS in Switzerland and was an Enterprise Sales Leader focused on commercial sales in the Northeast. Before AWS, Fanning worked at Microsoft as a Solution Sales Professional, responsible for enterprise sales in the New York Metro area. Early career experience includes positions at Tellme Networks as Director of Technical Sales and Manager of Telephony Engineering, contributing significantly to the company's growth and eventual acquisition by Microsoft. Fanning began a professional career at Accenture as a Consultant in the Technology Group after earning a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science from Boston College in 1995.
