May Merkle-Tan is currently a Sr. Specialist Solutions Engineer for Healthcare & Life Sciences at Databricks, focusing on solving data, machine learning development, and production challenges for clients. Previously, May held the position of Lead Applied Scientist at Comcast Labs, where multiple challenging projects were developed into proofs-of-concept and presented to C-suite executives, alongside contributing to an Agile environment with data engineering and analytics. Prior to Comcast, May worked as a Data Science Consultant and held roles at Metis, the University of Glasgow, University College of London, and the University of Minnesota, engaging in various research initiatives, including machine learning applications and cognitive neuroimaging. May holds multiple advanced degrees, including a Ph.D. in Cognitive Neuroimaging from The University of Edinburgh.
