Ricardo Sugawara

Ricardo Sugawara is an accomplished technology professional with extensive experience in solutions architecture and technical consulting. Since August 2020, Ricardo has served in various roles at Databricks, starting as the first employee in Brazil and progressing to Manager of Specialist Solutions Architecture, demonstrating expertise in performance optimization and architecture guidance. Prior to Databricks, Ricardo held positions at Dell EMC as an Advisory Consultant, leading big data and analytics projects across LATAM and Europe, and worked as an IT Architect at Banco VR, where infrastructure solutions for card payment systems were designed. Ricardo's earlier career includes roles as a Programmer at Indel and a Network Administrator at ABEC, along with freelance consulting during undergraduate studies. Ricardo holds an M.Sc. in Computer Engineering and a B.Sc. in Physics from Universidade de São Paulo.
