John Chodacki

John Chodacki is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in digital curation and research data management. Currently serving as the Director of the University of California Curation Center (UC3) since October 2015, John is responsible for the strategic vision for digital preservation at the California Digital Library. Additionally, John holds prominent leadership roles, including Board President of DataCite and Chair of the Board of Directors at The Carpentries. John has contributed as a Principal Investigator for Dryad and has served in key positions with organizations such as FORCE11 and PLOS. John’s academic background includes a Bachelor's degree in Anthropology and African-American Studies from Grinnell College, as well as an MBA from San Francisco State University.
