Bruce Otruba

Bruce Otruba has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Bruce started their career in the United States Navy as an Electronics Technician Second Class and served for eight years. After leaving the navy, Bruce worked as an Engineering Specialist at Siemens Industry, Inc., where they managed significant project revenue and designed HVAC and Environmental Control systems for critical environments at various prestigious institutions.

In 2012, Bruce joined MedImmune as a Process Controls Technician, responsible for the maintenance and administration of the Building Management System (BMS) across multiple sites. Bruce also documented program development and provided troubleshooting and repair services.

Bruce later became a Process Control Engineer at AstraZeneca in 2019, following the retirement of the Medimmune brand. Additionally, they were a founding member of the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) team.

Currently, Bruce serves as the Director of Solutions at Datakwip, where they manage customer relationships, coordinates with partners, and oversees internal processes. Bruce ensures the delivery of value to over 175 buildings employing their product.

Bruce Otruba has a diverse education history with a focus on energy management, reliability excellence, information technology, and engineering. Bruce completed Certified Practitioner of Energy Management Training at the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2019 and attended the Life Cycle Institute in 2014 for Reliability Excellence for Managers. Bruce earned credits toward an Associate's Degree in Information Technology from Howard Community College from 2009 to 2014. Bruce also obtained credits towards an Associate's Degree in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from the Cleveland Institute of Electronics in 2000-2001. In 1994-1995, Bruce accumulated credits towards an Associate's Degree in Chemistry from Darton College. Additionally, Bruce holds a certification as a Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional obtained from the SMRP in December 2014.
