Marjella Lecourt-Alma is the CEO and co-founder of Datamaran – the market leader in ESG risk management. Trusted by blue-chip companies and global partners, and recognized as best practice for material risk identification and monitoring by the European regulator EFRAG, it is the only software in the world that supports a fully automated and data-driven business process for monitoring external risks and opportunities - powered by AI.

Marjella leads a diverse global team of ESG and risk management experts, as well as data scientists and technology professionals, and is globally recognized as a thought leader and game changer. She is recognized globally as advancing ESG and risk management in business - by governments, regulators, international organizations, businesses, civil society, labour, and the accountancy profession.

As a trusted thought leader, Marjella is often featured in the media, including the Financial Times, The Economist, and CNBC’s Power Lunch.

At age 30, Marjella became the youngest female Director of the Global Reporting Initiative - the most widely used standard for measuring and managing ESG issues. She joined the GRI headquarters in Amsterdam in 2007 where she successfully set up the Services Department.

She won the Game Changer award in 2017 and Marjella is an international keynote speaker on subjects including AI, sustainability, and ESG, as well as a member of ACCA’s (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) Global Forum for Sustainability, Telefonica’s Sustainability Stakeholder Advisory Council, and Sustainable Development Goals Advisory Committee for UNPRI.
