Roderick Scotto

Roderick Scotto is the current COO at Datamars. Prior to this, they served as Country Chair at Total from September 2018 to July 2022, and Vice President Operations at Hutchinson from December 2017 to July 2022.

At Hutchinson, Scotto was tasked with turning around a newly purchased Aerospace company that was making negative EBIT on a monthly basis. Through improved management practices, they were able to get the company making positive EBIT above group expectations within a few months. Roderick also streamlined processes and procedures through lean manufacturing, so that all productivity and quality levels were met with regard to internal and external customer expectations. Scotto was able to improve OTD from 30% to 85%, reduce scrap rate by 75%, and reestablish customer confidence through proven sustainable quality improvement and service. Roderick also managed to reduce labor turnover from 15% to 5%, through the implementation of recruitment policies and improved working conditions, while still improving the Sales value per head.

At Total, Scotto built a motivated team through cross functional background complimenting each other. Roderick also helped the company expand its customer base to include some of the biggest names in the aerospace industry, such as Airbus, BAE, Bell Helicopters, BF Goodrich, Boeing, Cessna, GE, GKN, Honeywell, Gulfstream, SAAB, and Spirit Aero Systems.

Roderick Scotto has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Univesity Of Malta in e-Business. Roderick also has a Private Pilot Certificate from Green School of flight in Strategy. Additionally, they have a BSc in Business and Computing from the University of Malta in Accounting and Business/Management, and Information Systems. Roderick has also completed Executive further education in Strategy from IMD. Finally, they have another BSc in Business and Computing from the University of Malta in Management and Information Systems.

They work with Kevin Coffey - Head, Smart Farming, Raj Singh - CCO, and Luís Alberto Müller - Commercial General Manager, Latin America. Their manager is Daniele Della Libera, CEO.
