Dana Barnes

Dana Barnes is the President of the Government Business Unit at Dataminr. Prior to this, they served as Vice President State & Local Government at Microsoft from July 2018 to September 2020. Dana also served as General Manager National Security Group at Microsoft from July 2014 to July 2014 and again from July 2013 to September 2018. From January 2008 to June 2013, they were Director of DoD Sales (Joint Defense Sector) at Microsoft. Dana began their career in January 1994 as a Marine Officer with the USMC and served until January 2006. Dana then joined Viisage as an Account Executive from January 2003 to January 2005. After Viisage, they joined IBM Global Services as a Business Development Professional from January 1999 to January 2003.

Dana Barnes has a bachelor's degree in history from the United States Naval Academy and a master's degree in information and telecommunications systems from Capitol Technology University.
