Amit Bhatia

Amit Bhatia has worked in the technology and media industries since 2000. Amit began their career as an Application Engineering Intern at Infineon Technologies in 2000, where they used C++ to develop a novel voice-activated robot controller using neural-network based speech recognition techniques. In 2002, they worked as a Software Consultant for NCS Group, where they were part of a $100MM project for the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore and was awarded the Distinguished Teamwork Award for the design of Singapore’s first large-scale web-services initiative. Amit then worked for Citigroup as a Management Associate in 2004. In 2008, they joined Morgan Stanley as an Executive Director, where they were part of the global media investment banking team and helped technology and media companies execute on strategic transactions including M&A, equity and debt financing. In 2015, they co-founded Datapeople.

Amit Bhatia attended Frank Anthony Public School before completing a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Computer Engineering from Nanyang Technological University Singapore between 1998 and 2001. Amit then went on to pursue a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance, General from UCLA Anderson School of Management between 2006 and 2008.
