Maryam J.

Co-Founder & Head of R&D at Datapeople

Maryam J. has a diverse work experience spanning from 2002 to present. In 2002, they began working at Great Southern Press as an Asia Editor, where they developed, compiled and edited content for the PetroMin Pipeliner journal. Maryam also produced content for industry publications and developed and analyzed surveys. In 2003, Maryam became an Undergraduate Intern at the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research, where they conducted experiments to investigate the relationship between two genes. In 2017, Maryam Co-Founded Datapeople and served as the Head of R&D, using AI and automation tools to bring efficiency and fairness to the recruiting process. In 2020, Maryam became an Adjunct Faculty Member at NYU School of Professional Studies.

Maryam J. received their Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Melbourne in 2007. Maryam also received their Bachelor of Arts in Theirtory and Political Science from the University of Melbourne in 2006. In 2016, Maryam J. obtained their Doctor of Philosophy in Biomedical Sciences (Cancer Biology) from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
