David Alan Cohen

David Alan Cohen has extensive work experience in various roles. David Alan started their career as a Research Assistant at the Virginia Affective Neuroscience Lab in 2012. Later, they worked as a Clinical Research Coordinator at the University of Virginia School of Medicine - Surgical Therapeutic Advancement Center from 2011 to 2014.

In 2014, David joined the University of Virginia School of Medicine - Medical Simulation Center as a Simulation Technology Specialist. David Alan conducted academic research, analyzed large datasets using R, and designed medical training scenarios.

In 2018, David transitioned to the tech industry and joined Datasembly as a Software Engineer. David Alan was then promoted to Senior Software Engineer, where they led the Data Collection team and collaborated with colleagues to meet business needs. In 2020, they became Director of Engineering and played an instrumental role in the company's growth. Currently, David holds the position of CTO at Datasembly, where they oversee the proprietary technology platform and drives market intelligence.

David Alan Cohen received a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree from the University of Virginia in 2012. Prior to that, they attended NOLS in 2010, where they studied Expedition Leadership. In April 2017, they obtained a certification as a Certified Healthcare Simulation Operations Specialist (CHSOS) from the Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH).
