Birgir Hrafn Sigurðsson

Birgir Hrafn Sigurðsson is the CTO at Datasmoothie. Birgir was previously the CTO at Transmit Software from March 2011 to January 2015. At Transmit, Birgir managed a team of 4 programmers and was responsible for improving and maintaining old features/applications for online applications as well as designing and creating new ones. Prior to their time at Transmit, Birgir was a programmer at Raf from December 2009 to May 2010 where they designed and programmed a new system that gathered information from PLC machines and served them into SQL servers (written in Python). Birgir also created a client application that could view and plot the data in human readable form and generate Excel, PDF, csv reports (written in WPF and C#.net ). Birgir began their programming career at Lýsing in December 2007 where they were the general IT-guy (computer/printer management) and programmer. Birgir created a web application that displayed user loan statistics gathered from a SAP system.

Birgir Hrafn Sigurðsson earned a BS in Rafmagns og Tölvuverkfræði / Computer and Electrical Engineering from Háskóli Íslands.
