Dave Fisher

Dave Fisher has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and companies. Since 2021, they have been working as a Streaming Engineer at DataStax. Prior to that, they founded their own company, Dave Fisher Technology, LLC, in 2017 where they served as the Founder, Software Architect, and Developer. From 2012 to 2020, they held various roles at The Apache Software Foundation, including VP of Apache Petri, Member of PMC of multiple Apache projects, Mentor for Apache Incubator podlings, and Director. Dave was also involved in the Apache Brand Committee and presented at Apachecon. Before that, from 2011 to 2017, they worked at CEB, where they served as the Principal Architect, Senior Director of Corporate IT, and Senior Director of Finance and Strategy. Prior to CEB, they were the CTO at J.M. Lafferty Associates, Inc. from 2000 to 2010. Dave started their career in 1990 as the Proprietor of Making Waves Software.

Dave Fisher attended DGN from 1973 to 1976. Following that, they pursued Computer Science at Rice University from 1976 to 1985.
