Francesco Animali

Francesco Animali has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Francesco started their career in 1999 as a Unix system administrator at Medialogic SRL, where they gained expertise in AIX/Solaris/Linux system administration, PERL web development, and APACHE administration. Francesco also had experience in clustering and high availability. From 2000 to 2001, they worked as a web developer at Wind Telecomunicazioni S.P.A. on the www.inwind.it platform. Francesco then moved on to software configuration management roles at smarten from 2000 to 2001 and datamat from 2001 to 2005. In 2004, they also worked as a software configuration and integration manager at Vitrociset SpA. From 2005 to 2007, they served as a technical engineer at Business Objects (UK) Ltd. In 2007, they joined IBM and worked as a support analyst, specializing in Infosphere Information Server, and later as a premium support and escalation consultant for Information Server, Datastage, and DB2. Francesco worked at IBM until 2015. In 2016, Francesco joined DataStax as a tech support specialist and premium support representative. Francesco remained with the company until 2022, when they joined Aiven as a senior solutions architect. In 2023, they returned to DataStax in a premium support role.

Francesco Animali obtained their Diploma in Science and English Language and Literature/Letters from Liceo Scientifico Villa Sora, where they studied from 1982 to 1990. Francesco then pursued a Master's degree in Physics at the University of Rome Tor Vergata, from 1990 to 1998.
