Jeffrey Carpenter

Jeffrey Carpenter has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Jeffrey began their career as a Software Engineer at Motorola, where they worked on the US Army Joint Stars Common Ground Station project. Jeffrey then joined General Dynamics Mission Systems, where they served as a Software/Systems Architect, contributing to projects for the US Army and US Marine Corps. At Choice Hotels International, Jeffrey worked as a Systems Architect, leading the development of a cloud-based reservation system on Amazon Web Services. Currently, they are employed at DataStax, initially serving as a Director of Developer Advocacy and currently holding the role of Director of Developer Adoption. In their current role, Jeffrey leads a team of content developers who support users of Apache Cassandra and DataStax products through various formats.

Jeffrey Carpenter attended the University of Arizona from 1992 to 1996, where they obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Engineering. In addition to their degree, they also hold certifications as a Certified ScrumMaster from Scrum Alliance (obtained in April 2013) and as a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from ISC2 (obtained in June 2011).
