Software Engineer at DataStax

Mark Wolters started their work experience in 2000 as a Programmer at Worldspan L.P. Mark then worked as a Senior Programmer at CBOE from 2001 to 2006, where they were involved in designing and developing the "Hybrid" platform for distributed trading. From 2006 to 2007, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Kaskad Technology, where they designed and developed a Complex Event Processing engine for the Boston Stock Exchange. Mark then worked as a Systems Analyst at W.H. Trading in 2007, designing and developing software for a proprietary trading firm. From 2008 to 2011, they worked as a Senior Customer Engineer at Streambase Technology, involved in pre-sale and post-sale work for Complex Event Processing software. In 2011, they became a Senior Software Engineer at Cloud Event Processing, primarily working in Java. From 2012 to 2014, they worked as a Java Architect at Weather Central, LP, involved in architectural design and development of software for processing weather data. From 2014 to 2016, they worked as a Cassandra Architect at AT&T, implementing distributed data architectures. Since 2017, they have been working at DataStax, starting as a Solutions Architect and currently working as a Software Engineer. Their roles at DataStax have included providing full stack architectural design and implementation, performance testing and optimization, and data migration strategies.

Mark Wolters has pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Tulane University. Additionally, they have also pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Devry University in Kansas. Currently, Mark is undertaking their Master of Science degree in Software Engineering from DePaul University.
