Thomas Petersen

Thomas Petersen has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Thomas is currently working as the Global Head of Renewals at DataStax since June 2022. Prior to this, Thomas worked as the Senior Director of Global Renewals at Altus Group from October 2014 to January 2021, where they were responsible for establishing and leading the Global Renewals team. Thomas effectively communicated with executive leadership, collaborated with various departments, and ensured timely customer renewals.

Before joining Altus Group, Thomas worked at Micro Focus as the Manager of Renewal Sales from September 2009 to September 2014. During their tenure, they built the renewal team from scratch, established processes and procedures, and successfully hired international and North America based inside sales teams.

Thomas also worked as the Team Lead of Renewal Sales at Attachmate from July 2006 to April 2009. Thomas managed customer relationships, identified up-selling opportunities, and directed the team in renewals and securing major deals.

Earlier in their career, Thomas worked at NetIQ as a Sales Representative/Sales Manager of the Renewal Sales team from March 2002 to July 2006. Thomas closely collaborated with the Chief Strategy Officer, ensured compliance, and facilitated a smooth integration during acquisitions and sell-offs. Thomas also served as an Assistant to Finance, handling order management and implementing a new maintenance renewal tracking system.

Thomas started their career as an FCL Supervisor/Manager at Shipco Transport from January 1997 to January 1999, where they achieved a 10% increase in volume and profitability. Thomas also initiated negotiations with shipping lines and fostered key client relationships.

Prior to that, Thomas worked as a Shipping Trainee at JF Hillebrand from 1994 to 1996.

Overall, Thomas Petersen has demonstrated excellent leadership skills, a proven track record in building and managing renewal teams, and a strong ability to foster customer relationships and ensure successful renewals in their various roles throughout their career.

Thomas Petersen attended Adlai Stevenson High School from 1990 to 1991. Thomas then went on to study at Svendborg Erhvervsskole from 1991 to 1993. Lastly, Thomas pursued studies in International Logistics / Business Administration at Copenhagen Business School, although the start and end dates for this program are unknown.
