Matthew Jennings

Matthew Jennings has a diverse work experience in various roles. From 2021 to the present, they have been working at Datatonic as a Senior DevOps Engineer, responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of DevOps strategies. Prior to this, from August 2021 to June 2023, they worked as a DevOps Engineer at the same company.

Before joining Datatonic, Matthew worked as an AV Systems Engineer in 2019, where they focused on video switching for virtual conferences using vMix and streaming events online. Matthew utilized custom Python scripts and open-source software to ensure smooth transitions during live events. Matthew also played a key role in migrating vMix streaming to the cloud using AWS, improving scalability.

In 2017, Matthew was associated with Avolites Ltd, where they held multiple roles. As a Product Specialist, they supported a global user base and provided technical advice for high-profile installations and events. Matthew was also part of the User Experience Team, implementing numerous software fixes and features. Additionally, they founded the Avolites AI Academy, an online learning platform. Prior to this, they served as a Technical Sales Engineer, building relationships with customers and demonstrating product capabilities.

Matthew's early work experience includes a role as a Technical Director at University College, Durham University in 2015.

Matthew Jennings obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from Durham University, where they studied from 2013 to 2017. Additionally, they have been certified as a Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Architect by Google in August 2022.
