Sherry Liu

Sherry (Shiyi) Liu is a skilled software engineer currently employed at Datavant since February 2022. Previously, Sherry worked as a Technical Innovator at the Corporate Startup Lab, a CMU Swartz Center Initiative, from August to December 2021. Sherry also served as a Teaching Assistant for the Web Application Development course at Carnegie Mellon University, where responsibilities included developing and testing an auto grader website utilizing Python and Selenium. Additionally, Sherry was a Research Assistant at Carnegie Mellon University’s Heinz College, conducting NLP-based analysis on YouTube comments to identify reliable COVID-19 content, and interned at Refinitiv, where innovations in stock return prediction were developed. Earlier experience includes serving as an Analyst in Data Strategy at Dow Jones, where notable achievements included winning two ONE-Awards for outstanding contributions. Sherry holds a Master of Information Systems Management degree from Carnegie Mellon University.
