Matt van Winkle

Matt Van Winkle has had extensive experience in the technology industry, with a focus on infrastructure engineering and software development. Matt is currently serving as the Director of Infrastructure Engineering at Datto, Inc., where they lead and supports talented teams of engineers in providing internal IaaS services and driving the strategic direction of the platform. Prior to that, they worked at Salesforce as a Director of Software Engineering, responsible for operationalizing the company's deployment of Spinnaker and scaling the deployments for better performance. Before joining Salesforce, Matt held various managerial positions at Rackspace, where they led teams in process improvement, operational excellence, and infrastructure services. Matt also served as a Board Member at Communities In Schools of San Antonio and worked as an Instructor at ITT Technical Institute, instructing students in the Information Technology program. Earlier in their career, they held various IT positions at Texas Tech University, where they gained experience in micro computing, network support, and systems administration.

Matt Van Winkle obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Texas Tech University, where they studied from 1993 to 2000.
