Scott Kotvis has a diverse range of work experience. Scott started their career in 1974 as an Inventory Control specialist in the USAF, where they achieved the rank of E-5 and received the AF Commendation Medal. After leaving the USAF in 1980, Scott joined USG, where they held various roles in National Accounts, Sales, and Marketing until 1999. From 1999 to 2010, Scott worked at Daubert Cromwell, first as Director Global Business Development & Sales Europe and later as Vice President of Global Business Development, with responsibilities for launching new markets, managing global key accounts, and overseeing international sales and distribution. In 2013, Scott became a member of the Illinois District Export Council. Scott has also served as a Board Member for the International Trade Association of Greater Chicago since 2006. Overall, Scott's experience spans both sales and international business development across multiple industries.

Scott Kotvis earned a Diploma from Craig High School in 1974. Following their high school graduation, they attended Miami Dade College from 1974 to 1977, focusing on the field of Business. In 1977, they briefly attended the University of Nevada-Las Vegas with a major in Business. From 1978 to 1980, Scott pursued a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Marketing at Lubar College of Business. Scott then went on to Loyola University Chicago, where they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a specialization in Finance, which they pursued from 1981 to 1983.
