Chris Thompson

Since joining DOZ, Chris has prepared and reviewed numerous audits of lower-tier limited liability companies, corporations, partnerships, and not-for-profit entities owning various real estate developments. These audits have been prepared for HUD, RD, and various debt and equity providers, including syndicated equity funds. He has also prepared and reviewed numerous cost certifications required by state housing finance agencies across the country in connection with 4% and 9% LIHTC awards, historic tax credits, and energy tax credits.

Chris is a member of DOZ’s Quality Control Committee which works to ensure audits and other engagements are completed in accordance with standards set forth by AICPA, state boards of accountancy, U.S. Government Accountability Office, U.S. Office of Management and Budget, HUD, RD, state housing agencies, and other applicable regulators. Under this committee, Chris is responsible for managing the firm’s internal quality review process to ensure the highest quality audit is consistently delivered to the clients.

Chris consistently exceeds the required amount of continuing professional education for CPA’s in public practice by completing educational courses sponsored by various organizations with a focus on changes within the real estate industry. Chris attends several national conferences held by industry organizations each year to remain current on regulations and important events affecting the clients.
