Daughters of Sarah Community for Seniors

Daughters of Sarah Senior Community distinguishes itself as a beautiful, clean Center of Excellence providing multi-level, resident-centered elder care in accordance with our Jewish values and traditions. For more than 70 years, we have served disabled and elderly men and women from all ethnic and religious backgrounds. Our Community for Seniors offers a continuum of care: The Rehabilitation Center at Daughters of Sarah (offering short-term therapies), The Massry Residence – offering the region’s most spacious assisted living apartments, and outstanding 24-hour skilled nursing care in Daughters of Sarah Nursing Center, where all 210 residential rooms are private, with private bathrooms. The Nursing Center also features the Golub Family Memory Enhancement Center. Respite care is also available, offering Capital Region families breathing room from their caregiving responsibilities. The Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is a recipient of the NYS Dept. of Health Resident Safety Award. The Nursing Center offers a cozy, graciously appointed, home-like environment in each of our three residential pavilions, offering dignity and privacy to our residents and their families. All facilities serve only kosher food, though residents are welcome to enjoy non-kosher food in their room when visitors bring it in. We accept private pay, long-term care insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid in the Nursing Center. We do not accept Medicaid in our assisted living residence.
