Janey Cooksley

Janey Cooksley has a comprehensive work experience in the education field. Janey began their career as a Teacher at Tollgate Primary School in 2003 and then moved on to Kingswood Primary School as a Teacher and Middle Leader from 2005 to 2008. Janey continued their teaching career at Newton Rd School from 2008 to 2010, where they also served as part of the Senior Leadership Team. Janey then assumed the role of Deputy Headteacher at Newton Road Primary from 2010 to 2012. Janey later joined David Ross Education Trust in 2012, starting as the Deputy Head at The Arbours before becoming the Headteacher. Furthermore, they held various leadership positions within the trust, including the role of David Ross Education Cluster English Lead and Primary Trust Wide Strategic English Lead. Currently, Janey serves as the Regional Director of Education at David Ross Education Trust.

Janey Cooksley attended Kingswood School, where they completed their 4 A Levels and GCSEs. Afterward, they went to University to pursue a Bachelor of Laws degree in Law. Following their undergraduate studies, they pursued a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) with a specialization in Primary Education.
