Kathy Kaplan has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Kathy started their career as a Senior Auditor at Price Waterhouse from 1994 to 1996. Kathy then worked as a Senior Auditor for CBS in 1997 before transitioning to the role of Business Manager at CBS News from 1997 to 1999. In 1999, they joined IMG as a VP, Senior Finance Director/Business Unit CFO for the Fashion division and later became the VP, Senior Finance Director, Strategic Initiatives until 2012. From 2012 to 2015, they served as the SVP, Finance Director/Regional CFO, Americas at Christie's. At Christie's, they oversaw the financial aspects of the U.S. Finance function and implemented a new Business Finance function. Kathy then held the role of SVP, Global Finance Director at Christie's from 2015 to 2017 before becoming the SVP, Global Managing Director, Commercial Finance until 2020. In 2020, they became the Chief Financial Officer at BDG, a leading global media company, where they have been responsible for shaping culture and overseeing a diverse portfolio of brands. Most recently, they assumed the role of Chief Financial Officer at David Zwirner in 2023.
Kathy Kaplan attended Franklin & Marshall College from 1990 to 1994, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree. Their major was Accounting, and they also pursued a minor in Drama. It is not mentioned if they have any additional certifications or when they obtained them.
